Bring authentic live-fire cooking to your outdoor kitchen with our handcrafted 54" Uruguayan Grill Kit with Side Brasero, Base Unit #241302. Custom-manufactured in Texas, this heavy-duty grill kit features an open-sided wood-burning brasero with our signature California bear-and-star cutouts on the front plaque.

Burn hardwood logs in the brasero to produce hot embers, then rake the embers beneath the cooking grate as needed. For charcoal grilling, place charcoal directly beneath the grates.

Choose a black steel frame with stainless steel cooking rods or all-stainless-steel construction. Both versions include an adjustable-angle main grate, a fixed grate section, and a side lever with a stainless steel coil-spring grip.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the adjustable grate work?

The main grate connects to a side lever with a stainless steel coil-spring grip. Raising or lowering the lever changes the grate angle, positioning food closer to or farther from the embers.

Can charcoal be burned in the brasero?

The brasero is designed for burning hardwood logs into embers. When cooking with charcoal, place the charcoal directly beneath the cooking grates.

What is the purpose of the two-part grate?

The adjustable main grate lets you change the distance between the food and the embers. The fixed grate section provides additional level cooking space. The heat beneath each section depends on how the embers or charcoal are distributed.
