The Commander is a masterclass in heavy-duty backyard machinery. Built around a massive 60" frame, this split charcoal and wood-fired beast solves the ultimate open-pit dilemma: how to slow-roast large cuts of meat over a spit while simultaneously searing steaks or veggies at different heights. By pairing an independent dual-wheel elevation system with a removable, motorized rotisserie attachment, this grill puts absolute temperature control directly into your hands.

What makes The Commander live up to its name? It all comes down to the mechanics of the build:

  • Dual-Wheel Elevation System: Two heavy-duty, independently controlled cast-iron wheels operate smooth wire cables. This allows you to raise or lower each side of the cooking grid with flawless precision, tailoring heat levels instantly without moving your coals.

  • The Split Grid Setup: Features a large traditional Argentine V-Grate with a front drip pan on one side to catch fat and minimize flare-ups, and a heavy-duty round rod grate on the other side for classic open-fire searing.

  • Integrated Motorized Rotisserie: Positioned perfectly above the fire pit, the spit rod turns effortlessly via a mounted electric motor, delivering evenly self-basted, juicy roasts, whole chickens, or prime rib.

  • Firebrick-Lined Insulation: The base of the pit is lined with dense firebrick, optimizing heat retention, reflecting thermal energy back up to your food, and drastically extending the life of the steel frame.
