The NorCal Ovenworks Base Unit #4326 is not a standard BBQ; it is a mobile culinary instrument engineered for the specific demands of Argentine-style cooking. Whether you are a professional chef managing a fluid workspace or a serious enthusiast who demands commercial-grade mobility, this unit delivers precise ember management and heat control on a rugged, caster-mounted chassis.

Hand-fabricated in Texas, the #4326 features a heavy-gauge steel firebox and our signature variable-height grate system, allowing you to manipulate thermal distance with micrometer-like precision.

Proper operation of an Argentine grill requires specific tools. We do not sell these as "extras"; we include them as standard equipment. Every #4326 ships with a 3-Piece Heavy-Duty Tool Set matching your grill's material construction.

  • For Black Steel Builds: Includes Black Steel Shovel, T-Rake & V-Grate Cleaner ($432 Value).

  • For Stainless Builds: Includes 304-Stainless Shovel, T-Rake & V-Grate Cleaner ($802 Value).

The Kit Loadout:

  1. The Shovel: For rapid ash removal and ember transfer.

  2. The T-Rake: For precise coal bed leveling and heat distribution.

  3. The V-Grate Cleaner: A custom-profiled tool designed to scour the V-channels, ensuring sanitary grease flow.


Fabrication Specifications

1. Argentine V-Grate Technology (Standard)

The #4326 comes equipped with our Inverted V-Grate Surface. Unlike round rods that allow grease to drip directly onto the coals (causing acrid smoke and flare-ups), our V-channels capture rendering fats and funnel them into a detachable Drip Pan.

  • Result: A cleaner fire, reduced flare-ups, and the ability to baste meats in their own rendered juices.

  • (Option: Round Rod Grates available upon request for traditional open-fire searing).

2. Infinite Flywheel Elevation

Control the sear. The side-mounted flywheel mechanism allows for smooth, independent vertical adjustment of the grilling surface. Raise the grate to slow-roast large cuts (Asado style) or lower it flush with the firebox for high-heat searing.

3. Fully Welded Firebox Architecture

  • Depth: 12" Standard Depth.

  • Construction: 3/16" Heavy-Gauge Steel. Full seam welds ensure structural rigidity and thermal retention.

  • Front Configuration:

    • Open Front (Standard): Allows for easy raking of coals and direct access to the fire bed.

    • Closed Front (Optional): maximizes wind protection and heat containment.

4. Mobile Industrial Frame:

The firebox is mounted on a reinforced steel frame with four Heavy-Duty Locking Casters. This ensures the unit can be easily repositioned for event catering, patio cleaning, or wind management.

  • A36 Black Steel: 3/16" thick steel body. Rugged, industrial aesthetic. Includes Stainless Steel grilling surface.

  • All-Stainless Steel: Non-polished, commercial finish. The ultimate defense against corrosion and the preferred choice for health-code compliance in commercial kitchens.
