The Marine-Grade Masonry Insert (304 Stainless)
The NorCal Ovenworks Base Unit #4535 (Stainless Edition) is the architectural standard for coastal and commercial outdoor kitchens. Fabricated entirely from commercial-grade, non-polished 304 Stainless Steel, this unit is designed to withstand salt air, humidity, and the rigors of professional use without corroding.
Engineered with a Structural Top Flange, this firebox drops seamlessly into custom masonry, stone, or stucco enclosures. It offers the high-heat performance of a traditional Santa Maria pit with the sanitary, flush-mount finish required by high-end design specifications.

Fabrication Specifications
1. 4-Sided Structural Flange
The unit is fabricated with a rigid stainless steel lip on all four sides. This allows the firebox to hang suspended within the masonry cutout, creating a clean "finished" look that protects the edge of your countertop material (granite, concrete, or stone) from thermal shock.
2. 14" Deep Thermal Containment Firebox

Depth: 14" Standard.

Construction: Fully seam-welded Stainless Steel firebox. Unlike tack-welded alternatives, our seams are water-tight and built to prevent ash scatter, protecting your masonry island from internal heat damage.
3. Variable Height Flywheel
The side-mounted flywheel allows for infinite vertical adjustment of the grilling surface.

Control: Raise the grate to slow-roast using ambient heat or lower it flush with the firebox rim for high-heat searing.
4. Material Build: Commercial Stainless

The Argentine Upgrade: V-Grate with Drip Pan – Inverted angle iron tracks grease away from the fire into a collection trough. Highly recommended for built-in installs to prevent grease from splattering onto your porous stone or stucco surroundings.
